The founder of Spring Psychology, Dr. Clara Fajardo, has 20 years of experience at the best training programs across the country.

Dr. Fajardo attended The University of Denver for her doctorate, where she was the only Dean’s Scholar in her cohort. While at this university-based R1 program, she was granted the prestigious Public Policy Internship by the American Psychological Association (APA) and worked on mental health public policy and legislation in Washington, DC while continuing to see clients. Dr. Fajardo completed her Internship at McLean Hospital (APA and APPIC accredited; affiliated with Harvard University) and Aspire Health in Boston, and her postdoctoral Fellowship at The Durham VA Medical Center (APA and APPIC accredited; affiliated with Duke University) in North Carolina.


Theoretical Orientation

Integrative Psychotherapy takes the best of Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Feminist Theory and applies the research-based strengths of each.
